Jeez. I haven't written anything in this blog for about 3 months now. I've been quite busy travelling back and forth between San Jose and Los Angeles for work and other personal business. Now I finally have a moment to sit down and write something on this glorious 4th of July before I start travelling again. This time it will be for weddings. Why are so many people getting married this year? Is it some fortuitous year in the Chinese calendar? 4 cousins are/have getting/gotten married just this year. Unbelievable. Don't they know the statistics?
According to the U.S. Department of Justice:
About one in five persons murdered in 2002 was killed by a family member. In all homicides that year, almost 9 percent were the killing of a spouse, 6 percent the murder of a son or daughter and 7 percent the killing of another family member.
