My Dog's New Chill Spot

Apparently my dog now likes to hang out in my shower. I'm not sure why but it's pretty funny to see an 80 lb. dog squeezed into a small shower stall just lounging about. We think it reminds him of his stint at the VCA boarding facility. He must have really enjoyed it. We sometimes really wonder what he's thinking. Maybe the "Dog Whisperer" can tell us.

My wife is convinced that Caesar Milan can tell us what our crazy dog is thinking.

XBOX Media Center

This looks like something I might want to try out myself. Now I just need to find someone willing to part with their XBOX or buy it off eBay.

The title link tells you how to hack it.

Video of the Day: Death by Bloody Nose?!?

I've been watching some Chinese and Korean music videos lately and noticed a trend in people dying in these movies from bloody noses. Is nasopharyngeal cancer that prevalent among asians?

Beware the Ceiling Cat!!!

You can run...but you can't hide!!!

I couldn't resist making my own version!

Oliver's lunch suggestions

Unbeknownst to me, my brother started his blog as well. Don't know where to go for lunch? Live in the San Gabriel Valley? Have I excluded too many people?

Video of the Day: Brokeback Parodies

It seems like everyone is making parodies of Brokeback Mountain nowadays. Here are a few of them:

Anime Inspired PC Case

Never in my life have I seen so much work go into a computer case. This would be the envy of all at LAN parties, however, transportation might be an issue as this is a rather bulky and oddly shaped case. Yes, its a an anime style girl computer case constructed of foam, pvc, paint, and a lot of sweat by Kanna Higashi & Katsuya Matsumura of Japan [obligatory panties present, of course]. I've created PC cases in art school before, but never like this.

There are also other interesting [more risqué] PC case ideas shown on the website. http://sae.cside.com/sae/kat/pc/epccase.htm

Video of the Day: Crazy Asian Mother

I think anyone with asian parents or strict parents in general can relate to this video. I think these guys have received an earful from their parents and felt it was time to vent and mock. I was couldn't stop laughing. The best line in this video is the very last one.

If you find this really funny, the complete movie can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/?v=aX0YiuPTZRA

Colors Schemes a Plenty!

Found this nifty site today. Sometimes when I'm working on design projects, I get hung up on finding a suitable yet aesthetically appealing color scheme. This site offers an abundant selection of examples and also provides variations based on each theme.

Happy Valentines Day

It's the 14th of the shortest month of the year again and I am dateless for the first time in years. Why you ask? Because my wife has to work. I promise I'll make it up to her...somehow. At least if I take her out now I won't have to make reservations and fight ridiculous amounts of traffic to get there. I recall on one Valentine's Day, it took me over 2.5 hours to drive about 50 miles by Los Angeles freeway. Absolutely horrible. Not only did we miss our reservations, we couldn't get in anywhere and ended up ordering a pizza from PizzaHut. Pathetic. Well, Angelenos, fear not, there have been suggestions to improve freeway congestion in SoCal. My friend Roy's blog has an refers to an article about it.

Video of the Day: Trapped in the Cupboard - MAD TV

I have spent [wasted] so much time watching videos on the internet. Now I figure its time I share the veritable goldmine of visual junk.

Today's video is "Trapped in the Cupboard". It's a clip from MAD TV. If you have seen the original by R. Kelly, you know just how ridiculous the premise of the video is. MAD TV takes it a step further and makes fun of all the events which occur in R. Kelly's version. Quite hilarious I must say.

6G iPod...here comes another one...

This is old news but I found this really interesting. It seems that on Feb. 9th, Thinkscret.com reported a new iPod in the works which will sport a 3.5" touchscreen and do away with the mechanical wheel for user interaction. It could be out as early as April of this year.

Engadget has some mockups. I don't know if these are really from Apple or if someone just made these up.

The 2006 Torino Winter Olympics

I totally missed this since I was driving for most of the afternoon and early evening, but the latest news on the Olympics is that Shaun White won the Gold in the men's snowboarding halfpipe (as predicted) and Michelle Kwan has decided to withdraw from the team due to her persistent injury and let Emily Hughes compete in her place. /sigh ...I guess the only time I'll be seeing Michelle Kwan this winter is on my East-West Bank calendar...
